Lexicarta repose sur des données linguistiques ouvertes, généreusement partagées par celles et ceux qui les ont créées.
Données
La structure de chaque carte, dans toutes les langues, provient de Princeton WordNet 3.0. Chacune des autres langues y ajoute ses propres mots grâce à un wordnet publié par le projet Open Multilingual Wordnet (Francis Bond et Kyonghee Paik, A survey of wordnets and their licenses, 2012 ; Francis Bond et Ryan Foster, Linking and extending an open multilingual wordnet, ACL 2013).

Définitions traduites
Lorsque le wordnet d’une langue n’a pas de définition pour un concept, nous affichons la définition anglaise de Princeton WordNet traduite automatiquement avec Claude, d’Anthropic, et la signalons comme « traduction automatique » partout où elle apparaît. Ces traductions dérivent de Princeton WordNet et relèvent de sa licence. Langues : العربية, Español, Français, Italiano.
Réutiliser nos données
Les données de chaque carte comportent la liste de leurs sources et de leurs licences, afin que quiconque les réutilise puisse en respecter les conditions. Les données issues d’une source en partage à l’identique restent sous cette licence lorsqu’on les réutilise.
